Constructing a world with strong characters and relationships that will support both comedic and storytelling purposes. Good improv is also a good acting. This class will help support and sharpen your acting skills by keeping you in “the moment” with honest reactions. Oh yeah and it’s a lot of fun! \n\nMatthew Van Wettering\n \nActor/ Voice Over Artist\nSag-Aftra- EMC\nMatthew began his improv journey at the Upright Citizens Brigade (LA) in 2015 and the Box (ABQ) in 2016\, he finished both curriculums. He is currently finishing up the final Core class with the Impro Theatre (LA) in Narrative Improv. Film credits include: Only the Brave\, 12 Strong\, Big Kill\, Commando\, Fast Color and more. TV credits: The Night Shift\, Roswell\, Briarpatch\, Longmire\, Preacher\, Get Shorty and more. Theatre credits: Orlando in As You Like it (NM Shakespeare Festival)\, Antipholous of Syracuse in The Comedy of Errors (NM Shakespeare Festival)\, Chris Keller in All My Sons (Adobe Theatre)\, Kenneth in The Night Alive (The Cell)\, Christopher Wren in Mousetrap (ALT) and many more. He hails from Thermopolis\, WY and studied theatre at the University of Wyoming.

Throughout his young adult life in Colorado Springs\, he performed in local theatre\, improv\, and short films. His love for performance grew into a love for film from behind the lens. He holds a BS in Film and Digital Media Arts and has worked as both an actor and videographer. He has taught youth drama for several years and anyone he can about film production. He has a drive to educate about the marvels of movie magic.
