Casting Call for Kaleidoscope Short Film

We are currently casting for the short film Kaleidoscope, which will shoot from May 30th to June 1st in the Albuquerque area. This is an unpaid, non-union, last-minute acting opportunity.
Kaleidoscope is a noir thriller with surreal supernatural elements. The story follows Detective Caine as he is called in to investigate a murder, finding a single severed foot at the crime scene. He begins having strange kaleidoscopic visions that start to tie him to the murder and powerful community figure Joel Wanton. He must fight with his own sanity to solve the case and uncover Joel’s sinister motives.
We are currently casting for 7 roles:
  1. Detective Caine: 40-50s man, stern, alcoholic detective whose only motivation in life is a new case, visions cloud his mental state
  2. Joel: 30-50s man, charismatic mayor/ businessman who’ll stop at nothing to get what he wants
  3. Linda: 30s-40s woman, hard working, business relationship turns deadly
  4. Patrick: 30s man, aggressive, stern, paranoid
  5. Oscar: 30s man, disheveled, talks too much when drinking, overly friendly to strangers
  6. Wayne: 30s man, dangerous, hiding something
  7. Bellhop: Any age/gender
