Have you ever wondered how athletes quickly recover after injuries, or how elite performers maintain their performance level even in stressful times? The science behind ‘Eccentric Contractions’ gives us insight into the body that people never knew before.

Ron, founder at Story Quest Studios, moved to LA in 2016 and trained with elite stretchers in California under a system called Resistance Flexibility Training, a technique Bob Cooley coined.

What they discovered is that normal Yoga practices consist mostly of passive stretching, while eccentric stretching involves elongating the muscle while it is under a heavy load. This action on the muscle deconstructs injurious fascia that cages our bones and muscles, allowing for ever increasing strength, flexibility, and even the health of each organ.

This 6 week class will set up every student for transformation, whether on the court or on the stage. There are 8 stretches for each limb, so we will start simply and learn how to achieve deeper stretches without assistance. In the 5th week we will learn how to help our partner achieve a better stretch, assisting each pair with their problem areas.
