Capstone casting call for Gone South

This capstone casting call is now open for Gone South, and Story Quest Studios is proud to share this capstone casting call with actors across Albuquerque and New Mexico. Written and directed by Levi Armijo, Gone South is a light-hearted crime comedy short film seeking three male lead actors for principal photography November 14–17.

Capstone Casting Call: About Gone South

Gone South follows two seasoned criminals who enter a house hoping to find a large sum of money — only for everything to go sideways the moment they arrive. All roles are unpaid but offer a fun, professional on-set experience. If you have been building your performance skills in our Albuquerque acting classes, this is a great opportunity to apply them on a real capstone film set.

Roles Available

Dale (Male, 30s) — stern and quiet, a career criminal who likes to take his time. Blunt but not rude, and increasingly frustrated with his partner and the job at hand.
Bruce (Male, 30s) — arrogant and loud, the opposite of Dale in every way. Wants to get the job done fast, hates Dale, and is not shy about poking fun at everyone around him.
Adam (Male, 20s) — new to the criminal world and completely oblivious to it. Forgetful, can’t read a room, and brings a cheerful “new job, new friends” energy that clashes spectacularly with Dale and Bruce.
