I’m currently in the process of making a short documentary and am looking for transgender artists to feature in the film.
About the project: “When the Grief Sets In” is an experimental documentary project exploring trans grief, expression, art, and healing. This film is being made primarily by trans artists for trans artists.

This is an unpaid, nonunion production. Participating artists will receive credit for their contribution, as well as 2 copies of the film upon its completion: a digital copy, and a physical copy on VHS.
Submission requirements:
1) The person submitting must consider themselves both transgender and an artist. (This can include any type of creative work, as long as you consider what you do to be art)
2) We are looking for examples of your art itself, as well as an artist statement. The statement should speak to how your artistic process helps you deal with and express grief and other emotion.
Submissions are open through March 30th. They can be any format, including but not limited to video, audio, still images, and written/printed word.
