The Story Quest Studios December Newsletter is here, and 2025 is going out with a bang for Albuquerque’s premier acting and voiceover studio. This December newsletter recaps a milestone year of creative growth, community building, and exciting new projects — and there is plenty still to come before the year is over.
Improv New Mexico Steals the Show in This December Newsletter
One of the biggest highlights is the explosive growth of community partner Improv New Mexico — expanding 600% under director Rachel Michaela. What started as a single intro to Long Form Improv class has grown into a full professional improv team, the Boyz, performing live shows in Albuquerque. Their first show at Shop NM was nearly sold out, with a follow-up double header show on December 15th. Monthly Karaoke Nights at the studio continue to bring actors and creatives together in a fun, supportive environment, with the Holiday Karaoke Party on December 20th open to everyone in the community.
Picklers Paradise: The December Newsletter’s Biggest Surprise
The studio’s 301 Project Lab evolved into Picklers Paradise — an original pickleball sports comedy series headed to YouTube and vertical platforms. To help fund the series beyond the pilot stage, Story Quest is hosting the Picklers Paradise Holiday Charity Event on December 27th at ProSports (911 4-Hills Rd SE, Albuquerque, NM), running 12–4pm. The event features a pickleball ladder tournament, artisan vendors, live music, and community fun for a $50 donation entry. All proceeds support arts education and media training in New Mexico through Improv NM, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. RSVP to StoryQuestStudios@gmail.com to secure your spot.
Story Quest Studios founder Ron Weisberg put it best: it’s not about being famous — it’s about redefining success so you enjoy every moment of what you do. That spirit defines everything happening at the studio this December and going into the new year.
What’s Coming in 2026
Looking ahead, Story Quest Studios is expanding its acting, voiceover, and improv class offerings for all experience levels — including on-camera acting, long form improv comedy, voiceover, and screenwriting. If you are ready to invest in your creative life, now is the time to get started.
